Kindergarten students:
Applications for prospective kindergarten students: You will be able to print the application for next year off of our website or pick on up in the office beginning February 19 along with a list of required documents. We will accept applications for prospective kindergarten students March 23 & 24. Once applications are reviewed and eligibility confirmed, a lottery for open seats will be held at 10am on April 1, at the BOE.  Seats will be given out based on availability once sibling seats are determined.  All other applicants will be placed on a waiting list for kindergarten.

General applications for 1st through 8th grades:
Applications for prospective 1st -8th grade students: You will be able to print the application for next year off of our website or pick one up in the office beginning May 1 along with a list of required documents. These applications will be taken May 27 & 28. Once applications are reviewed and eligibility confirmed, a lottery for open seats will be held in June.  Seats will be given out based on availability once we have determined that seats are open in a grade level.  All other applicants will be placed on a waiting list for each individual grade level and accepted from this list as spots open up. We will not know how many spots we will have available in each grade until after school is out and the administrative team has met to determine return eligibility of students. 

In order to be eligible to apply students must meet the following requirements student must:
- Reside in Newton County (anywhere in Newton County/ parents are responsible for transportation)
-  Have an 80 or above as a final grade in all areas on the final report card
- Have no “n”s on the report card (including conduct)
- Passed all areas of the state testing from previous year
- Must have zero out-of-school suspensions
- Must not have received more than one in-school suspensions or office/discipline referrals
- Not have excessive unexcused absences/tardies
